Surprise! Ariana Grande Just Dropped a Second Song Today
By now, you've probably listened to Ariana Grande's much-anticipated new single, "Focus," oh, a trillion times now. We've been waiting all month for the track and it definitely doesn't disappoint. But Ari also released another song today, and it's one whose lyrics you already know.
She lent her voice to a rendition of "Zero to Hero," from Disney's Hercules for the Mouse's new compilation album, We Love Disney. And her powerful voice is perfect for the Muses' retelling the story of Hercu...honey, we mean Hunkules's rise to fame and glory. (Disney, if you're ever casting a live-action film, we think you found your girl.)
But Ari isn't the only person who pitched in for the album. We already heard Jessie J, Jason Derulo, and Lucy Hale's renditions of some of your favorite Disney songs, and they're joined by Ne-Yo, whose rendition of "Friend Like Me" is particularly delightful (and would make Aladdin's Genie proud) and Jhene Aiko, who lent an appropriately dreamy vibe to Alice in Wonderland's "In a World of My Own/Very Good Advice." Fall Out Boy, Jessie Ware, and Gwen Stefani make appearances, too — proof that Disney transcends all ages and genres. Perhaps it's the closing song that says it best: it's a small world, after all.
